Our amazing editor Jody got press gallery tickets for all of us for Obama's congressional address tonight. We have to meet in the Capitol at 7 p.m. and report to the House Gallery to attend the speech at 9.
This blog is meant to keep all of my family and friends up to date on my internship with the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire, and to give everyone a better idea of what I'm doing and what my life is like here in D.C.
All of my stories are available on the Scripps Howard Foundation Web site: http://shfwire.com/ To read the full stories you have to subscribe to the Web site, but the subscription is free. Whenever new stories are added you will get an email notification.
Also, I will be in Washington through the end of April, and then returning to Michigan. I can't receive mail at my apartment, but any letters or packages may be sent to my office:

I'm a journalism student at Michigan State University with an interest in environmental reporting.
After completing a semester-long internship with the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire in Washington, I am back in Lansing reporting for the Lansing State Journal.
I expect to graduate from MSU with a Bachelor's of Arts in journalism next year.
