I went to Chinatown to report on the New Year's parade, which I thought was supposed to begin at 2 and end at 5 p.m., but somehow I was wrong and I missed it. I arrived at about 3:30 and it had just ended. I got a few good photos though, and I bought a small paper lion.There were also supposed to be firecrackers, but a suspected gas leak forced officials to cancel them and evacuate the area.
